3RD PARTY SCAM FROM DISH NETWORK AFFILIATE "ALTITUDE MARKETING"

Altitude Marketing charged me $19.99 for a set-up fee, over and above my sign-up charges and monthly bill for new DISH service.  I was not told they are a 3rd party and have their own fees, in addition to DISH.  They led me to believe I was getting some kind of a break from $49 to $19.99 but complicated it with my Dish monthly bill, and got me to say ok.  I was completely surprised when I got the second bill, NOT for Dish services but their sneaky fees that a very young, heavy NY accent, fast talking kid succeeded in fooling me.  They even played back the tape and you can tell that I DO NOT UNDERSTAND what he is saying.  HE QUICKLY GLOSSES OVER MY QUESTION AND SAYS YES TO THE MONTHLY FEE

DISH says go to Altitude, Altitude says go to DISH, we can't help you. But they charged me! It's a racket, they talk fast and confuse one price with another price, it's a RIP-OFF because they intentionally fool you, I am not the first complaint.

DO NOT GO WITH DISH NETWORK AND YOU WON'T BE SCAMMED BY THEIR 3RD PARTY RIP-OFF ARTISTS

@SuzyK, my name is Dan Busa with DISH Social Media. I can certainly understand your frustration regarding this. It sounds like the fee was for setting up the account for you. This is a typical fee and is often disclosed in the promotional flyers handed out by the 3rd party companies. This is a similar practice with Directv and many other pay TV providers. Because of this I always recommend signing up for services directly through us. You can get allof the information necessary for this from www.dish.com I would hate for this fee to sour your opinion towards our company.
