ALW Sourcing LLC Steven Jones They ripped me off of $1500.oo I thought i was paying an actual debt. It is actually considered time barred in my state Baltimore, Maryland
Back in May of this year 2009 I received a phone call from ALW Sourcing LLC indicating that they were collecting on behalf of NCO Portfolio Managment. I was laid off at the time and i really didn't have the money to give them. I settled for $1500 bucks on a very high balance. I was going to just ignore them and wait for a judgment but i decided i didn't want to take the chance and have that on my credit report so i paid them. I paid with a family members Bank of America credit card. I have sence got my job back and i got a bug up my a*s one day and decided to look into ALW SOurcing since i have never seen anything on my credit reports indictating the debt was settled. I found that the BBB gave them a(F) grade in Maryland and i googled them and found this website. I have called ALW SOurcing and all they do is give me the run around and they can't answer my questions. I contacted the Michigan and Maryland state attorney along with the FTC which im in contact with a case worker. I was told that the debt is old and that it is considered time barred and can't be sent to a courthouse for a judge to order payment and i could sue the company if they recevied my money in a fraud attempt. If anybody has any info that can help me out even more that would be awesome, Im in talks with a local attorney here in Michigan to look into sueing them. It sucks that you think your paying off an old credit card in good faith and you find out otherwise
