Always at Auction Dishonest company peddling junk and claiming it's worth much more than it's worth. Internet

I recently found out about Always at Auction, apparently they are an online auction company based in the Dallas area in North Texas. I purchased a watch and an autographed picture from there website. The watch was said to be valued at over $1000 dollars and when I had it looked at by a local watch retailer I was told it wasn't worth anywhere near what I was told. In fact they had never even heard of brand before. After that I did some research of my own, which I wish I had done before hand, but found out that the manufacturers website was also owned by Always at Auction. So I went back and found out that every watch on their website, although different name brands, it was the same case with all of the brands listed. They are Chinese CRAP! And have found that they keep lousy time! What a freaking waste! Don't get conned by these people all they are selling is junk and calling it gold.

Now the picture I purchased. Being originally from New York I was excited to see a picture of Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle up for sale. On this one, I had reservations on this before I purchased it, due to the extremely low price. But I thought well they say it does come with a certificate of authentication so I thought, hey why not then. I like getting a good deal just as much as the next guy. When I got the picture and got a look at the certificate of authenticity I was very ticked off. It looks like they are producing the certs right there in house. It looks like a photo copied piece of junk. No real signature on the cert from whoever authenticated it. No corresponding number to the cert and picture. Just a sticker on the back with God knows who's scribble on the back. A few days later I saw the same picture posted again and then again about a week later. It was about that time I felt for sure I had been ripped off. When I took the picture to a local sports shop, I was told, they couldn't be sure but it was highly likely what I paid for was a fake. Hence the low price I guess! I still paid over $100 bucks for a picture that looks like it was printed off of someone's home computer with a shady photo copied certificate.

I will never do business with these people EVER again and caution anyone from doing business with them either. I have since found out that they have multiple sites that they have auctions on all of which have the same crap on them, oh and I saw the picture I purchased yet again! Their websites you should steer clear of are:

Alwaysatauction.com, Couponcabin.com, Couponshare.com, Loyaltyauctions.com, Keycode.atauction.com

With a company like this that has multiple sites ripping you off, I'm sure they might have more. So beware of these people.

In response to this report, I would like to inform all who have the opportunity to utilize our sites to do so with confidence in knowing you are working with a reputable auction company who has been in business for well over 10 years.  Our policy is complete customer satisfaction.  If for some reason you are unhappy with any item received within the first 30 days, you may return for a refund.  It's that simple.

Regarding the statement about the watches, allow me to educate.  We have an in-house design team who designs all our brands to today's latest, trendiest and most classic styles.  Once the designs are complete and approved, they are sent to our vendors to manufacture in China, Japan, Germany, France and Switzerland for production.  We utilize the exact same vendors that famous maker watches use to purchase quality casings, bracelet, bands, movements and crystals.  The only difference in their products vs. ours is they sell retail, we only sell on our approved auction sites.  Where famous maker watches have overhead such as advertising, marketing and keystone price mark up, we do not.  Again, we sell on our approved auction sites and are able to bring to the market a quality time piece at a fraction of the cost due to our not selling on the retail market.  All auctions start at $1.00 and go up according to the traffic on the site bidding, based on desire to secure the item.  We are straight forward with our customers and stand behind everything we sell.  Our watches are not fakes or knock offs.  These are our own designs and brands so it would stand to reason that maybe a jeweler or retail store would not know of us since we do not advertise or sell in the retail market.  Please feel confident and comfortable in knowing you are getting value with Always at Market or any of our other sites.

Regarding the Sport Memorabilia.  The item mentioned in the complaint was a piece authenticated by Dr. Nicholas Burczyk.  His authentication stamp or COA is a white sticker on the back of any item he has authenticated with his signature.  His signature of authentication will stand up in any court of law due to his credientials as a Forensic Authenticator.  There are numerous agencies on the market who classify themselves as authenticators. It's a very competitive business and it's well known that there are those who will discredit another authenticator in order to secure the business for themselves.  They do not have Forensic Authenticators on staff. An authentication is based on testings of any piece of signed merchandise by use of exemplars to determine the type of paper used during the period the autograph was obtained, the type of ink used during this period, pressure of the pen to gauge starts and skips of the known team member signing the autograph and use of black light imaging.  Most authentications are based on opinions.  We use the best in the business for our sports merchandise and therefore are confident to stand behind what we offer with the same 30 day return policy.  If not satisfied, the item may be returned for a refund.

Should anyone have any questions regarding any of the information listed, you may contact me, Michael Williams, Manager of Customer Service, Always at Market.  My phone is 800-322-7315 ext. 4801.  Thank you.
