I recently found out about Always at Auction, apparently they are an online auction company based in the Dallas area in North Texas. I purchased a watch and an autographed picture from there website. The watch was said to be valued at over $1000 dollars and when I had it looked at by a local watch retailer I was told it wasn't worth anywhere near what I was told. In fact they had never even heard of brand before. After that I did some research of my own, which I wish I had done before hand, but found out that the manufacturers website was also owned by Always at Auction. So I went back and found out that every watch on their website, although different name brands, it was the same case with all of the brands listed. They are Chinese CRAP! And have found that they keep lousy time! What a freaking waste! Don't get conned by these people all they are selling is junk and calling it gold.

Now the picture I purchased. Being originally from New York I was excited to see a picture of Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle up for sale. On this one, I had reservations on this before I purchased it, due to the extremely low price. But I thought well they say it does come with a certificate of authentication so I thought, hey why not then. I like getting a good deal just as much as the next guy. When I got the picture and got a look at the certificate of authenticity I was very ticked off. It looks like they are producing the certs right there in house. It looks like a photo copied piece of junk. No real signature on the cert from whoever authenticated it. No corresponding number to the cert and picture. Just a sticker on the back with God knows who's scribble on the back. A few days later I saw the same picture posted again and then again about a week later. It was about that time I felt for sure I had been ripped off. When I took the picture to a local sports shop, I was told, they couldn't be sure but it was highly likely what I paid for was a fake. Hence the low price I guess! I still paid over $100 bucks for a picture that looks like it was printed off of someone's home computer with a shady photo copied certificate.

I will never do business with these people EVER again and caution anyone from doing business with them either. I have since found out that they have multiple sites that they have auctions on all of which have the same crap on them, oh and I saw the picture I purchased yet again!

Their websites you should steer clear of are:

Alwaysatauction.com, Couponcabin.com, Couponshare.com, Loyaltyauctions.com, Keycode.atauction.com

With a company like this that has multiple sites ripping you off, I'm sure they might have more. So beware of these people.

In response to this customers remarks, I would like to supply correct and accurate inforamtion about our merchandise at Always at Market.

Watches:

Every watch auctioned has details regarding the comparison price and how it was established.  The Comparative Retail Ticket Price range ($900 - $1195) comes from this watch with similar products offered by major watch retailers.  Similar product means comparable watch design, functionality, finish, and accurate component fit.  With regard to watch components in particular, similar products will have comparabel quality dials, casings, crystals, bracelets and movements to the watch models in the collection.  There are instances of major watch retailers offering similar product at Retail Ticket Prices ranging from $900 to $1195.  Watches marketed via traditional business models might require a double, triple, or even higher Keystone pricing strategy to reach the targeted ticket price.  This would then allow for retailers to offer incremental discounts to stimulate sales without dramatically affecting a brand's retail price image.  We are not offering fakes watches.  These are all hight quality Swiss and Asian watches that are manufactured with the same components and in the same factories as very high end watches.  We offer customers hight quality watches at great values via the auction process.  Our watches are comparable in quality of dials, casings, crystals, bracelets and movememnt to other high end watches with retail values in excess of what we state.  Instead of large investments in advertising, marketing, and wholesaler/retailer mark ups, we choose to take our watches direct to consumers via auctins, where the customer can determine the price and get a great high quality watch and value. If a watch has a Swiss movement, it is considered a "Swiss watch" regardless of where it was assembled. Our brands are assembled in China, and Taiwan.  They are maunfactured from components produced in Switzerland, France, Japan, Taiwan, and China. If a customer is not happy with a purchase, we have an unconditional 30 day money back guarantee.

Sports Pictures:

Our memorabilia is authenticated by STAT Authentic, an independent 3rd party authentication company we use to authenticate the merchandise we offer for auction.  We also have items authenticated by Nicholas Burczyk, a renowned forensic sports authenticator.  Mr. Burczyks authentications will hold up in a court of law.  There are different exemplars used to determine the authenticity of a signature on balls, pictures, etc... Our authenticators with their total years of experience have been in the presence of club members and have been witness to their signatures.  They use personal autographed examples obtained in person.  They have volumes of exemplars for comparrison.  Signatures are digitally photographed, magnified and evaluated for pen pressure, skips, starts, and restarts, etc. The era of the item and the pen are evaluated.  Signautures are black lighted to determine if the signature has been doctored, erased, moved etc.  Please note:  Authentication is an opinion based on background and knowledge.  If a customer is unhappy with an item won at auction, they have 30 days in which to return the item for a full refund.
