A salesman named Ryan came to my house selling magazines for a "good cause". The agent's name on the receipt is Rob Mitar. I purchased a subscription of a Disney magazine for my daughter. After months of waiting for the magazine to arrive I decided to contact the company "Always Helping People, LLC" and noticed that the only way to contact them is by mail. I googled the company to seek a phone number and found several similar complaints by other customers. I had to explain to my daughter that someone apparently "scammed" us and took our money without the intention of sending us the magazines.

Not the fault of the sales company: Disney Adventures Magazine was cancelled

#2Consumer Comment

If the magazine you are referring to was Disney Adventures Magazine, then the sales company you dealt with is not at fault. The magazine was cancelled about a year and a half ago. We used to have a subscription for my daughter and she loved the magazine very much, and looked forward to its arrival every month. In fact, I had just renewed for another year when we received an issue that had a letter from the editor in the front stating that it would be the last issue. The magazine simply was discontinued.

At the time, I contacted the publisher via email and was told I could transfer my subscription to another Disney magazine but I could not get a credit for my renewal, which had not yet taken effect at the time of the cancellation. I was upset that they would still accept renewals and new subscriptions when the magazine was not continuing publication.

Even though this was over a year ago, you might still be able to contact the publisher and have your subscription transferred to a different magazine, since you never received any issues.
