Complaint Review: Always Helping People LLC

ON 3-11-2008 I was approached by a Ryan Jay Hadley introducing himself as young kid trying to earn enough points for a trip to Europe by selling magazine subscriptions. I was busy in my garage at the time and had the doors opened which he took as an invitation.

I had told him I'd recently renewed my magazine subscriptions for the year and had no need for more. He was charming but quite pushy and appealed to my sense of charity by suggesting I could get the subscription for someone else in my house and help him with his points accumulation at the same time.

Just to get it over with, I perused his list and chose a pre-school activity magazine for my little ones. I was then asked to fork over $42 for a 1 yr subscription preferably with cash. I insisted on paying by check for expense monitoring purposes and then proceeded to end the transaction. Fortunately I remembered to ask him if the company he was representing had a web address and also regarding cancellation procedures. His answers were quite satisfactory to me and soon he was merrily on his way.

Later in the day,purely by chance I was "googling" something about daffodils when I remembered the subscription I got and decided to google the company. To my dismay, the first 3 searches were rip-off reports of Always Helping People LLC! I then filed a stop payment request with my bank the same day.

By filing this report I am hoping as are countless others who have been victimized by these people that they'll finally be investigated and prosecuted.
