I had received a bill from Alyon Techonologies in June of 2003 for $66.81 for "Premium Web Content". The date noted on the bill happened to be for a time when I was out of town on business. I contacted them by phone, was told to visit their website for specific billing information (which wasn't available on their website).

I contacted them by phone again and got a very unusual run-around and was eventually told I would receive specific billing information and "proof of authorization" - whatever that means.

I heard nothing further from them until last week when I had a voice mail to call "Adam Kelly" at 1-888-249-1033. Yesterday I received a collection notice from Merchants' Credit Guide. Signed by Adam Kelly.

I did have a conversation with a business associate from another Wyoming community who had also received a billing from Aylon recently. We both have contacted the Wyoming State Attorney General's Office. And I will notifiy her to contact the FTC as well.

Thank you for the information available on your website. I knew these guys were bogus from the get-go, but had no idea it was such a huge undertaking. I'll keep you posted from the wide open spaces of Wyoming!

Tell Merchants Collection Agency litagation Pending

#2Consumer Comment

Sun, September 21, 2003

Anyone receiving mail or harrassing calls from The Merchants Collection agency should advise them that due to pending litigation involving Alyon's billing and collection methods. you are unable to discuss payment at this time.

When all the litigation is resolved and Alyon is still around ( highly unlikely) you will talk about this issue.

Advise Merchants THEY ARE NOT TO CONTACT YOU IN ANY MATTER UNTILL THAT TIME. IF THEY DO YOU WILL COMPLAIN TO YOUR STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THE FTC.

A good idea if you can get them on tape recorder but be sure it is legal from your state

Let them know they need to read the FTC Report and the judges order from Georgia.
