I also got a bill from Alyon for services neither I nor anyone in my household used. One of the postings on this site included an address in NJ for the company. I've not verified it, but the address and other contact info was:

Alyon
Stephane Touboul
One Harmon Plaza
Secaucus, NJ 07094

s****.> 201-865-7600

I've sent a notarized letter to the company stating no one in my family has used their services and demanded that they reverse the charges. I've written complaint letters to the Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey attorney generals. Texas because that's were I live. New Jersey and Georgia because there's some question as to where the company is operating. I've also written complaint letters to my congressman, senator, the FTC, FCC and FBI.

The reason I've taken such aggressive action is that when I talked to the credit reporting agency, they said that all a creditor needed to be able to place a collection on your credit report was your name and address. I don't plan to pay this bill although it would have been much easier.

My advice is for you to complain to everyone who will listen, keep a record of your efforts, and if a collection shows up on your credit report to dispute it.

Alyon truely can be considered an economic (censored) as clearly evidenced by their misuse of technology to load trojan horse virus software on computers without the knowledge of the owner. Software that makes unauthorized calls at unbelievably high rates. Then to send bills via the mail that I suspect is could be categorized as (censored)ious use of the U.S. Postal system. It also appears that their collection tactics are belligerent and abusive.

Good luck.

Alyon - reversal of charges promised

#30

Sat, January 18, 2003

I've spoken with Amy from the Secaucus, NJ office of Alyon a couple more times this week. She has follow-ed up with me and appears to be making a sincere effort to help me reverse the charges for Alyon bill I received based on the information I gave her indicating my grade school age child may have unintentionally accepted charges she was not authorized to accept. She promised me an updated statement from Alyon that would show a zero balance. Once I receive that, I will update my entry on this site one last time.

Alyon update

I spoke with Amy at Alyon in Secaucus, NJ twice on Tuesday 1/14/03. Each time, she guaranteed that if I submitted a redacted birth certificate of my pre teen daughter (showing first name and birthdate), she would personnally reverse the charges. Amy said she would give me something in writing to show that the charges had been reversed. When she does that, I will submit another update.
