Alyon Technologies rip-off scam Norcross Georgia
When I opened the envelope from Alyon Technologies and saw a bill for $53.79, I went ballistic. First of all, I've never heard of this company and since I "play" around on the internet, I may inadvertently came across their site, but I don't recall doing so on the date they are billing me for.
The bill was for Premium Web Content-Adult which I don't recall ever contacting. The supposed time on this site was 11 minutes for 1/03/03. I'm given until 1/19/03 to pay in full.
Anyway, I responded today (1/11/03) by e-mail telling them I've never heard of them or their so-called web site, and that I have contacted the Wisconsin Department of Consumer Protection. I also stated the FBI should also be notified since their alleged fraud appears to be nationwide.
Since I never used a credit card, I guess I can look forward to getting a bigger bill than expected on my next telephone bill. Do I have to pay since I've already notified them of my protect via e-mail? Someone please advise. Thanks.

I recommend you send a Certified Letter first to help cover yourself:
1. Write a Certified letter with return receipt to Alyon Technologies disputing the charges. Also, if you want call 201-865-7600 the number to Alyon in New Jersey and tell them that you deny all knowledge of anyone using their website'.
2. Go to your Attorney General's website and file a complaint.
3. Go to the Federal Trade commission's web site and file a complaint. http://www.ftc.gov
4. Law enforcement checks the complaints on http://www.ripoffreport.com , so authorities will most likely read your complaint here.
