I received a bill from Alyon Technologies for $99.54 for 17 min. of premium web content-adult (as stated on their bill).

I tried to contact them by phone but all I got was a recording. I then sent an email questioning this bill. The next day I received three pages of email detailing the bill, Alyon's connection and dispute process. It also stated that the connection was made by way of a direct dial number by a computer modem from my home phone number.

The problem is I did not make this connection!! My computer is not connected to a phone line! Alyon then requested a copy of my long distance phone bill. I was shocked when my long distance phone bill arrived, it stated that a call to Union City NJ for a 17 min. long distance call was made on 01/29/03 at 9:06 pm eastern time, (8:06 pm central time , (my area).

At 8:06 pm my wife and myself were watching TV, we were the only people in the house. Our computer was on as it is most of the time, it was connected to the internet by way of charter pipe line,(my wife runs a small business and receives orders by email). I have contacted my local and long distance phone companies, both said there is nothing they can do, they did say I am probably a victim of a computer hacker or a (censored) company! I am in the process of contacting the FCC, the better business bureau, the internet (censored)complaint center, the public service commission and the attorney general.
