Alyon Technologies ripoff fraud "censored"Norcross Georgia
OR www.nocreditcard.com Trying to close their popup triggers modem to dial their number & they bill you! .....
The way this "censored" worked on us was somehow a toolbar was automatically loaded onto the computer. If you clicked on it numerous porn site pop-ups appear on your computer. The faster you close them the faster they pop up. Then you hear your modem dialing a number..
We tried to shut it down and disconnect as soon as possible but the call must have gone through because 5 days later I get this bill in the mail from Alyon Technologies saying that I called (201) 553-4711 for 9.0 min and that I owe $46.59.
I did not give them my name or address so I figure they must have been able to call Directory assistance once my phone automatically dialed them and with a reverse directory were able to find out who the phone number was listed to and then sent me this bill. It also states that the URL visited was www.nocreditcard.com...
I didn't want to go to that url because I was afraid I would be "censored" again but I went to a search engine and put in the name nocreditcard and it gave several porn sites. I am assuming that they think a lot of people will just pay it. I am not one of them. I am simply going to ignore it.
They would have to go through a collection agency to get me to pay and I would dispute it so I doubt that they would go that far since they know it is fraud. They probably scare a lot of people into just paying it. I will go ahead and report it and get a case number to the 800 # referred to in other complaints.
