Without our permission (knowingly or willingly) this Companies pop-up embedded itself into our hard drive and launches itself. We received a billing for $138.36. We attempted to resolve this dispute via telephone, but were met with a true company idiot. Since this episode, we have written a letter to them and filed a complaint in writting with the FCC. We will not pay. I am considereing buying a new harddrive and charging Alyon Technologies, as I am unable to keep the pornographic pop-up from launching. I have received no assistance in removing this disgusting item from my hard drive, from Alyon Technologies.

You can also try a Shareware version Of Pest Patrol which is advertised to handle Alyon's illegal junk. You will have to delete what you find yourself. . Download it free at ZD Net or Download .com where you can also find the other software mentioned.

There Are FREE Program Available Online

Lee,

(Many have recommended saving these items to a disc prior to deleting them)
Search your computer for 'mini dialer' and 'iedisco.exe' and delete them. The 'mini dialer' should be located next to your local Internet Service Provider. They have created a folder called 'eGroup'- find and delete it.

They have also made MANY CHANGES to your Windows Registry. If you're technically knowledgeable, you may be able to manually remove these items from your Registry. I was unsuccessful in doing this, as no matter how many times I removed or deleted these items, they repeatedly reappeared in my Windows Registry. See Rip-Off Report #45776-Items found in Windows Registry: http://www.ripoffreport.com/view/asp?id=45776

There are FREE programs available to download online that will RID your computer of Alyon/eGroup's TROJAN ITEMS:

SPYBOT Search & Destroy
http://security.kolla.de/
(SPYBOT S&D will find and remove ALL of Alyon/eGroup's TROJAN ITEMS. Update this program with all available updates before scanning your computer.) *Use At Your Own Risk* I used this program, as it works well with Windows XP.

Others have used Adaware and claim it will do the same thing.

AdAware from Lavasoft:
http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/
Home Page: http://www.lavasoft.de/

It might be worth checking into before you purchase a new hard-drive.

Good luck to you.
