Opened mail yesterday 3/4/03, shocked to see a bill from Alyon for $228. with a demand to pay by 3/12/03, or any and all collection avenues would be pursued!! The second page showed the charges for Premium Web, a service which I never ordered.
The third page explained how and why they could bill me.

Somehow this company attached to my computer an icon to enter from one of the hundreds of unsolicited emails to me. My husband did open one of the emails to look but never agreed to join, all he saw was supposed to be free. Trying to get out of this site,
pop-up ads kept coming up faster then he could close them, he finally shut computer off.

The next day we saw the icon on our screen, just like the ones we have to our banking emails, and weather. He went thru their icon to acces his email that morning, not knowing he had connected to a service and was running up charges!!

This is a bill that will be payed when it snows here in July.
