Two conservative-looking girls came to my door selling magazine subscriptions or coupon books. They said it was to help them earn points for college scholarships.

They claimed to be locals and fully explained their goals, so I decided to purchase a coupon book for vouchers to use in all major supermarkets including, the store I shop in.

The girls seemed so sincere and the coupon book was something I could really use. I wrote a check to AM Press(aka Mags R Us) for $12.50. The reciept said to mail the balance of $12.45 by 10 days.

As I read the rest of the reciept, I noticed no phone number or e-mail address. I went to the computer and typed in Mags R Us on the search engine and got this website.

Then I called my store corporate office out here and they never heard of such a book. I immediately stopped payment on the check(my bank waivered the fee).
