I should preface this by saying I am a former employee of this location years ago. It was a fun place to work at the time but after learning how my friend was treated, I am very disappointed to even be assocaited with Interwest or the Tim Hortons Brand.

For 6 years they have allowed a homeless person to sit in their restaurant doing nothing for 18 hours a day, as well as other homeless people. My friend brought concerns to the attention of the owner, Amanda Kerr of Interewest Restaurants after the homeless woman verbally accosted my friend, but management did nothing. Instead, Amanda Kerr sent my friend - who is disabled - a trespass notice and said tney couldn't "accomodate" her.

The response from Amanda Kerr and Interwest is unresonable and potentially discriminatory. My friend was trying to help the homeless woman and brought concerns to management's attention in a constructive manner, and this is the thanks she gets? Trespassing someone for no clear reason is unjust, especially when she has been a supportive customer for years. A more appriate response would be to address the concerns raised and work with both the homeless woman and my friend to find a solution that meets BOTH their needs while also adhering to the establishment's policies.

In any case, it's essential for businesses to treat ALL customers fairly and with respect regardless of the circumstances, but that wasn't done here.
