As others have reported Amazon is generating unauthorised subscriptions to Amazon Prime and not just as a result of not ticking a box. My subscrioption was initiated in October 2014 and my debit card charged £79 in November 2014. The last dealings I had with Amazon were in June 2014, so this is outright fraud, not an accidental subscribe. Yes they have agreed to refund it, but if I stole money from someone, I would not escape prosecution simply because I agreed to refund it. I have carried out many on-line purchases without any problems over the years, but if a company like Amazon is going to use your details to take money fraudulently, then it undermines the whole system.

Here is the entry. I did not even risk trying the attached phone numbers as I thought it had to be someone impersonating Amazon, as I could not believe they could be so shortsighted as to try such a scam.
