Amazon.com Ripoff refused to give shipping cost before ordering then refused to cancel order or refund money when delivery was refused Internet
I wanted to find out how much shipping was for an item because I knew it could be a lot. The only way to get the price was to put it in my cart and the only way to get shipping costs was to place the order so I did. Shipping was $145 for a $175 item so I did not want it.
I cancelled the order online and by phone within the hour but they sent it anyway. I refused delivery and it arrived back at the seller but now all Amazon says is, "there is no record of you filling a complaint" or "I will file an 'A to Z guarantee' report" and "I promise, I will get back to you via email within 2-3 hours". I have been getting the same answer every month now since it happened three months ago and no one has ever sent me any emails.
No money has been refunded. No one at Amazon will acknowledge any of the details of the return. The company which sent it to me in the first place, and the shipping company which made the return both acknowledge the return, but Amazon won't refund because they say they can't get any information. I say they don't care about customer service. I have gone as high up the ladder as I can and the supervisors all say the same thing "I'll check it out and get back to you" but they never do and they won't get on the phone with me a second time. Stay away from Amazon.com!!!!
