Amber Pet Alert Did not provide services as advertised Los Angeles, California
I lost my cat in September and advertised on Craigs List. I received a couple of different e-mails from people telling me how the Amber Pet Alert helped find their lost pets. Of course I would do almost anything to get or beloved cat back, and the idea seemed great - one registration and all of the vets, pet stores, rescue groups, shelters, and other businesses in my area would get a notification.
Well, for about $80, all I got was an e-mail with a poster to print myself and the "assurance" that the businesses in my area were also receiving this. I checked with numerous vets and pet food stores, and no one had received any notice about my lost cat.
I left messaged on the 800 number for Amber Pet Alert requesting that they provide a list of the companies where the alert had been sent. I also sent an e-mail requesting the same, and I submitted a message on the website with the request. To date, I have heard NOTHING from the company.
Good thing I used my credit card (and NOT my Debit Card!) because I was able to dispute the charge with my bank and get the money back.
