I am a customer of Ambits since 2007. The rate for electricity is average but their "Travel Rewards" are a joke. In 2007 they had gas cards and grocery vouchers that looked nice. Those were taken away and they only kept the air fare and vacation packages". I called my travel agent and got a 1 week trip, including airfare, to Cozumel for $710 a person at an all inclusive 5 star resort.. Ambits free airfare is only applicable if you stay at one of their selected hotels wich range upwards of $160 a night for a minimum of 7 days|. Their Cancun package, etc:. does not include airfare and is only at Grand Incentives hotels!. These are not all inclusive and by the time fees, deposits, etc are appplied you've spent the same amount or more than I have just using a travel agent|. Not to mention the dates are somewhere between September through February, you have to request 90 days ahead of time, etc:. What a joke! Just bring back the REAL incentives like gas cards and grcery vouchers with no strings attached:. I have 68,000 points with Ambit and they are good for nothing!

Here are some reviews from complaintsboard for Grand Incentives

I submitted my form to get two nights free hotel stay due to my Ambit Energy service. There are tons of little details where Grand Incentives tries to catch you. I did all the paperwork correctly and they just didn't have any hotels available 45 days in advance for THREE locations. It also takes 15 minutes to wait on line for a surly CSR. Avoid this place and Ambit!

I CAN NOT GET ANYWHERE SINCE DEC.19, 08!.

GRAND INCENTIVES NEVER SENT THE TWO COMPLIMENTARY AIRLINE TICKETS PROMISED!

I have received multiple forms to submit for a vacation with air fare. After sataifying all requirements including paying requested fees each time I have received notice that the locations and times I requested are not available. I had paid $200 for a vacation from Celebrity Productions. I have been going through this cycle of submitting request and after months having the request rejected with claim of unavailable. companies in this business should be shut down and made illegal. The whole business is based on misleading the clients.

Where free is never free and you are qualified means nothing! We were invited to attend Global Network Travel's travel club presentation and we were "scheduled to receive two round trip airfares". We decided the cost was outrageous and the plan too restrictive to the last minute travel that we usually schedule. When we registered online for the two round trip airfares, we were instructed to print the online page and mail it. I would guess that the online page does nothing and goes no way. We mailed all the paperwork, carefully following all instructions. Six weeks later we received notice that our claim was rejected because it was not mailed "certified mail", as required. This requirement was not in the instruction. We have, again, written to Grand Incentives, with copies to Little Harbor Resort, the participating property, and the State of Florida Attorney General.
