We have had some difficult financial times over the past 7 months and have fallen behind on payments a few times. Those Payments were caught up, only to fall behind again. Most recently the NMSS agreed to make our March payment, as I have Multiple Sclerosis. They contacted Ameriquest and made arrangements. Ameriquest had only to sign and fax a W-9 form to the NMSS, Minnesota Chapter. The MS society faxed the unsigned form to Ameriquest for a signature. They did not respond, so the MS society faxed numerous forms--none of which received a response.

On April 1st I phoned Ameriquest to inquire about the MS payment, as I was unable to make the April payment until they received that one. The woman with whom I spoke infromed me it had not yet been received and that I should wait a couple days. A couple days later I again called and was told they needed third party authorization to sidn and fax the W-9. I faxed them the authorization the next business day. Again I phoned, and informed them that their negligence in not telling anyone third party authorization was needed had resulted in payment delay from the MS society and the April payment. They, of course, apologized profusely and said they would respond to the matter.

Last week week we received 4 Notices of Intent to Foreclose. I again called, and the W-9 had still not been signed and faxed. I said that I would not pay a late fee for April as it was their fault the payment was late. I was told that was not possible. I demanded to speak with someone with more authority and threatened to file a report with the department of commerce. At that point a supervisor came on and assured me she would personally "follow the account and waive any late fee for the April payment." I contacted them again this morning only to discover that they still had not faxed the W-9. The MS society faxed them another form this morning--in addition to the one last Thursday.

I suggested last week that it seemed they were attempting to force us into foreclosure. She laughed and said they'd have nothing to gain by doing that. I've never known it to be so difficult to get someone to take money. I am on the verge of contacting the attorney general or whichever office is most appropriate under these circumstances. Yes, we've had financial troubles and have less than perfect credit, but we are honest hard-working people who are attempting to pay our debt. They are taking advantage of our situation, and I'm afraid will force us into foreclosure.
