Mama always said if you don't have anything good to say about someone, don't say anything at all....

Well, surprisingly, I can say something about this company!! even though I was screwed in the end.. here is the good and the bad.

First off, all was well in my universe. The phone salesman was very informative. The salesman clearly explained to me EXACTLY what I was ordering: a CATALOG CARD to order $100 worth of merchandise from their catalog to establish credit to LATER get a REAL credit card. Made sense.

I only wish everyone who reported on this co. had the same operator as I had and half of the reports wouldn't be valid, he DID NOT LIE to me, however he wasn't entirely honest due to my first sense of scam-dom: you had to make THREE payments of $33... AFTER taxes AND after a down payment which meant you were actually buying about $170 worth of merchandise.

That disappointed me, but so far so good...

Anyhow, I DID recieve the merchandise that I ordered!! :)
And as per our agreement, I mailed my first check of $33.

The following month is when my universe became a black hole: I was ready to send in my second payment of $33 to be on time, however I noticed they hadn't cashed my first payment yet.

I called to check on why they didnt cash my check..
A man reported to me that they're wareshouse/office had flooded or caught fire or something bt it would be back to business as usual by next month and they wouldn't hold this against my account.

Well two months go by andI didn't hear anything. I tried calling back but only recieved a recording. I continued calling for THREE MONTHS. Recording.

I alerted the BBB, they unsucessfully tried contacting them a couple times.

I Finally lost it and started getting even: I called their number and left a message first thing in the morning, then continued to call every day. No response/call back.

After a few months I was sick of it, so I called first thing in the monrning and left a message then "put them on hold" by putting my headset to a stereo speaker for 7 minutes at a time when the recording automatically stopped. Then i'd time it to call back again and repeat it until the message simply stops asking for a message and says the mailbox s full. This way MY MESSAGE would be the ONLY message that they hear for a few days

After I did this for a few weeks,I lost it: I sen a CERTIFIED (so they have to sign for it, which they did) nice, long, informative letter explaining all my legal, non-harassing attempts to contact them and finally told them I was going to do what very few people actually do in this case: GET MY LAWYER AND SUE THEIR a*s!

Two days later, their phone was (coincidentally?) disconnected! I have had no success tracking the company or the owner down.

Yes, I was screwed in the end, just not as bad as others, I did get the merchandise I ordered!

But, Had I known this was a csam nd under the circumstaces, I would have bought that $100 tool box worth of tools instead of $100 worth of junkets I barely use!

The end.
