Complaint Review: Ameri-Sourse Publications

our company is a small, local, subcontracting company.

two years ago, we received a bill in the amoutn of $299. from ameri-source publications, demanding payment.

when i called their number to inquire as to what the bill was for, i was informed that we had ordered an ad in a business to business directory...nation wide.

as our company does not even advertise locally, the service just did not make sense.

the phone rep was rude, and insisted they had "tapes" of my husband ordering such a service. when i asked to hear them, i was given the number to their legal dept. where i got full voice mail, and finally, the run around.

two years later, we are now receiving very aggresive, rude messages from a collections company, American Solution Information.

i did an on-line search and discovered that ameri-source had been fined by the states attorney general of vermont, for mis-representing themselves, and unauthorizeed billing.

i brought this to the attention of the collections rep. who was calling, she then became really rude, and insisted that i fax her proof.

i am in the process of filing a complaint here in MA. and urge others to do the same in their state, as well as the state of New York.
