Was about to lose my home to foreclosure when my bank WAMU (Washington Mutual) referred me to American Neighborhood Housing Foundation.  When I contacted them, they told me to send them $1000 within that same day and they would do all they could to help me avoid foreclosure.  They said in the event that they could not prevent it, I would receive $500 of my money back.  I ran around all day trying to come up with the $1000.  I ended up taking my unemployment check and getting money from my church to come up with the $1000.  American Neighborhood Housing Foundation (ANHF) told me I had to wire it to them and I did so.  Well, I ended up losing my home to foreclosure anyway.  When I tried to collect my $500, I was always told to speak to someone else - who was never there.  I kept getting a voicemail.  I still haven't received my $500 and now I am homeless - staying with different family members as they allow me to.  American Neighborhood Housing Foundation really screwed me!!!!
