Was contacted by Michael Moore about quoting a move from Alexandria, LA to Orlando, FL. Mr. Moore claimed that he was an "agent" for Bekins. Having no idea what my belongings weighed I gave him a list of all my belongings. Asked what my previous quotes had been (roughly). Came in about the same price but pointed out that I was dealing with a professional mover such as Bekins and that he would also guarantee the price no matter the weight and that I got 30 days free storage if need be.

Sent in a $300 deposit to "book the truck" that just happened to be in Alexandria the day I had planned to move. He said Bekins would contact me 7 days prior to narrow that time down for the move. The move was scheduled for a Monday. As of Friday, still no word so I tried calling him. Never was able to speak to him, was told I needed to speak with the dispatcher from now on.
Still no word as of 9am Monday so I am calling them finding out what is going on. Was told someone would be at my house between 11-12. I waited at the house until 1pm and called back. They then said they would be there before 4. Called them back at 4:30 then they said the truck would not make it to my house and would be there first thing in the morning.

Same thing happens again all day Tuesday. By this time I have a feeling something is going on so I start looking into U-haul and such just in case. I also called Bekins dispatch to see if they have any record of me or AMN. They have never heard of the company.

Same thing for half a day Wednesday. They would never give me the movers name or number to contact them. I am extremely upset by this time. I was speaking with Moe Albertson by this point who claimed to be the manager and his job was to correct this situation. Said he had my move scheduled for first thing Thursday morning. I happen to overhear the name of the mover in the background, although he would not give me the name directly. When I stated that they had already breached the contract by not showing up Monday or Tuesday, his response was that they would compensate me $25 per day for my inconvenience.

I looked the movers name up on the internet (they were 100 miles away) and called the guy myself. He said he had just been contacted about an hour earlier. He was a local moving and storage company with a straight truck (not big enough for my belongings).

I asked if he had done bus. w/them before, he said he had never heard of them until their call. They also told him that if I exceeded my quoted weight that he was to charge me the difference, if I refused to pay he was to turn my belongings over to them and they would collect from me. As I earlier stated, Mr. Moore claims he guaranteed the price, no matter the weight difference.

Called Moe Albertson and asked him once again if they had done business with this guy before and said "oh yes, numerous times". I asked if he was sure and he swore to it. I informed him that I would like my deposit back and to cancel my move since they broke the contract in the first place. Said I would not get my refund (as I expected).

These clowns are total scumbags with no life or remorse. I will file a report with Florida A.G. and anyone else I can find to put this scam OOB.
