Complaint Review: American Marketing Group AMG

I received a phone on Friday, July 10 from AMG (American Marketing Group), saying they have found a buyer for my Hilton Head timeshare property. They said they could list the property at a certain amount. All I would have to pay is $1,298.00 today to transfer some documents to the buyer. They would mail the offer, contracts and other documents on Monday after I give them my credit card number. So, without thinking since I've had the timeshare on the market for two years, I give them my credit card number. They sounded legimate at the time, until I did a google search on the company and to my surprise... it was a ripoff!!! I immediately contacted my credit card company to stop the charge. However, the credit card company had already disapprove the charge because they recognize AMG as a legimate company and they would not approve the charge. Thanks to "Ripoff Report" for the many negative reports about AMC I would have been another victim. Thanks for the report(s).
