I booked a hotel with www.aa.com.   I had booked my air and it asked me if I wanted to book a hotel and I thought I would try because I travel a lot with AA and generally found them to be good.   I chose the hotel and didn't realize that it was a pre-paid venture.   When I arrived at the hotel, the pictures on the AA website were not indicative of what I witnessed.   It was located in a very bad area of Oakland, CA and only had outdoor unsecured parking.   I did not feel it was safe so I called AA on their number that I have memorized from my massive dealings with them.   They told me that they don't have anything to do with hotels and gave me another number to call for AA vacations.   When I called there, they told me that I had to cancel my hotel by noon on the day of arrival according to Priceline's rules.   So I responded that I did not book with Priceline.   THey said that this is the company that they use to book the air.   It is not on the information given to me which all says American Airlines.   They asked me to hold while they called Priceline and came back and said that Priceline would not budge on its policy of no cancellations after noon.   So I book with AA.com and get told that they have nothing to do with it.   Here is the response I got from American Airlines on Facebook:

"Although you do book through aa.com, the service is provided by our AA Vacations division, whom would be responsible to assist you. If they have advised to speak with Priceline, they would be best to contact for assistance. We're sorry for your disappointment."

Absolutely unreal.   I booked my travel with aa.com at their suggestion after booking air.   I paid AA.com.   But all of a sudden I should negotiate their errors with another company.   I understood if the first day had to be paid but there is no excuse for enforcing payment of the entire week.  This is fraudulent and disappointing.
