i went to Vegas for a convention, on may, on the way out at the check in, the counter lady forced me to buy a new ticket due to "migration restrictions on Dominican Republic" or stay in vegas , cause she wont let me board the plane otherwise.

i had a previous tiket, unused ,DR-MIA-CUN, but she said she could not find it , and later on, that was not good cause was issued for January.

now they claim i lost both of the tikets value, (I end up puchaseing a DR-MIA ticket) and can not use the credit towards any other service with them , THEY SIMPLY TOOK MY BOTH TICKETS MONEY WITH OUT GIVING ME NOTHING AT ALL, BUT 2 PAPER TICKETS.

I had try the web site and they send me a "new policy" according to "the customers feedback" were if you dont cancel the trip prior to board , you loose your ticket , therfore , your money , without having used the service at all!!!

so , they telling me that customers are asking to loose their money?!

REGARDLESS TO SAY I BEEN BACK AND FORD WITH E MAILS AND TELEPHONE CALLS (AND BILLS) FROM TULSA TO DALLAS AND SO ON, PLAYING PING PONG WITH ME.

attended by mr Sean Bentel, and Ms.AnnaMarii E. Aldana-Basnyat both from AA customer services

all i want is to be able to credit the money towards (sig) more services with AA...

AND ALSO TO ENCOURAGE CUSTOMERS TO LET AA KNOW THAT WE DONT AGREE ON THIS "NEW POLICY" OF LOOSING OUR MONEY,OR DO WE?

Without looking at the flight coupons you have I do have some very good words of advice for you.

Never use orbits or any other of those travel sites. Once you do you are the travel agent and the airline is powerless to help you. The restrictions places on travel to any other country is done by that govenment. Not by the nice people in the US. Any ticket bought is always subject to change. But if you made your own travel plans you should have used your computer to sites like the US imigration office or visit your local passport office or even the postoffice to track changes in there imigration ploicy.

But last but not least if you book your travel plans with the airlines or a real travel agent you might have been up to date with just a phone call. Sorry but American Airlines is the largest and carry more people than any other airline in the world.

If you know what's good for you, you'll avoid American Airlines!

Sorry Juan, but unfortunately that's what you get for flying the worst airline in business today!

The only reason American Airlines is still in business is because of the BILLIONS OF DOLLARS in subsidies from the United States Government since 9/11/01!

Next time, fly JetBlue!

Yes, you agreed.

You clearly have a non-refundable ticket. Therefore you agreed to the "T&C's" (terms and conditions) of this type of ticket.

It appears that you failed to follow the rules and therefore forfeited the remaining value of the ticket. Next time, understand what you are buying.
