I purchased a used vehicle. In Oct. I received an extended warranty offer in the mail. It sounded good. Paid "money" for it with $50.00 deductable. I thought it was a follow up of Gm or ? so I purchased it. On 12/21/04 I went to shopping. When I got into the vehicle it would not start. I called the tow truck to pick it up. They did.

I rented a car as my policy "stated" it was covered. The garage called the toll free number only to find out I did not have coverage. I was not in their system. So the next morning I called CPS 888-818-6600 and I was not found in their system. I was told "probably" my info. was not transferred to them from Summit Financial, (Retail Installment Contract) dept.

So it left me with a broken down auto, a rental and no coverage. I was told to sumbmit the bills to CPS and did so. Then I found out it was not covered because the garage did not get a prior authorization. After numerous phone calls and a lot of bitching I was reinbursed.

Then on 09/05/2005 my vehicle was leaking water/anti-freeze. I took it to our area GMC dealer and they would not honor or even call CPS. They wanted nothing to do with them. Didn't state why. I called another dealer approx. 30 miles away and they would not deal with them either.

I called CPS at 1-888-306-7115 to see what I should do. I told them I lived rural and there were not a lot af service garages in my area and the ones I contacted would not accept CPS warranties. The man I spoke with told me "Aw I feel sorry you live so rural".
He told me to take it to any station that is state licensed.

I finally found one that would work on my vehicle but he wanted cash when work was completed and I could submit bill for payment. This was 09/11/2005. After a week without a vehicle I was willing to do this.
So the mechanic called CPS. Received an authorization number and the work was done, I paid and submitted (faxed) the bills the CPS.

I was contacted by letter dated 09/20/2005 stating "Unable to read the entire repair bill". Please re-submit. I re-faxed it to them. Then on 10/03/2005 I received a letter stating," The repair was done without prior authorization". My claim was denied. I had to pay close to $700.00 and be without a vehicle while they played around.

I also cancelled my policy but only had about three months left to pay.
