It's ironic that the company that first directed me to the Ripoff Report, American Auto Warranty and it's founder Jon Zybendos seem to have vanished, although the website is still active.

AAW, in fact Mr. Zybendos himself sold me a warranty with Royal Administration Services. Now as for Royal, I have nothing to complain about. I have only used them once and that was for a roadside assistance call which they handled no problem.

However I wished to make an inquiry with AAW about the "peace of mind, 100% refund guarantee" that you will see on their website. My only reason for this inquiry was that I have not had the vehicle all that long, and the horrendous upsurge in gas prices is making it in my best interests to downgrade to a smaller and more fuel efficiant vehicle. In all honesty, you really can't use your warranty as any kind of "bargianing tool" when you go to sell your car. I asked Royal, and they said that any refund had to be handled by AAW.

The 2 phone numbers posted on AAW's website are no longer associated with them. 1 of them is now for some real estate company, and the other has some woman on an answering maching stating "sorry we missed your call, leave a message". Ialso have received no response from e-mails that I made through the "contact" link on AAW website. A search through the national toll-free phone directory does not have any information on AAW.

Jon, if I am mistaken in all this I do apologize and will be glad to inform The Ripoff Report of my error, but I will assume that AAW is out of business and turned out to be one of the 'fly by night" warranty companies that you claimed to be so above. I just hope that Royal Administration will serve me well. Apparently I have no choice but to retain them.

Has anyone else had this issue??

Why not try the 888 number listed now?

I came across your report while investigating the company. I have had no trouble contacting them through the 888 number listed on the website and in Jon's email. I am in no way related to this company, but don't understand why you don't just call the number now and see what they can do for you? It sure beats complaining about something that happened in the past.

P.S. They didn't even know your report was out there until I told them about it.

P.P.S. You didn't mention the email address you sent emails to - that might be important in figuring out why they didn't receive them or answer them.

I will stand by my statement that for months I have periodically tried to contact you by the internet phone numbers or e-mail with no response. I even left phone messages on the numbers even though the intro-message gave no indication that it was associated with American Auto Warranty. I sent numerous e-mails both from my home and work computer between March and July.

In one last effort prior to my posting to THE RIPOFF REPORT on 08/19/05, I contacted both Lyndon Insurance and Royal Administration Services trying to find contact information on you. Neither one had any information to give. I found that rather hard to accept considering that you are selling warranty policies for them.

I ended up being in the midst of a conflict with a dealership service center who gave me an estimate of almost ONE THOUSAND dollars
to replace a HEADLIGHT (That was not a typo-error.) I was having difficilty with Royal trying to get some information, and I sure could have used somebody's help.

I ended up resolving that matter on my own to some degree of satifaction, but needless to say with a great amount of fustration and aggrivation.

Jon Zydenbos - American Auto Warranty is alive and well

#8REBUTTAL Owner of company

David:

I am about accessible as anyone can be. My name for all of my diverse enterprises is posted all over the Internet. Why you would post a letter to rip off report when my company or I have never damaged you is beyond me. My site aawarranty.com is staffed by competent management and my phone number is clearly marked 888-286-8013. My personal email is the same as when I sold you a policy years ago, jonz@iaxs.net.

While you have not been damaged, having found this report sent by my manager not only baffles me, but by your actions, you have place doubt on me personally and have caused my company loss of business as well. You may contact my manager with any questions regarding your policy and any refund available to you. I am kindly asking you to withdraw your complaint to ripoffreport. Your prompt reply is very much appreciated.

Sincerely yours,
Jon Zydenbos

Funny, I was searching between RipOff Reports and google and found Jon's name is also under this link. Sounds like he left one company and started his own or bought into one.

hope this helps you find him?
