American Automan company and the owner Denny Hilliard, must be avoided like the plague.

Despite a written contract, the past 4 monthly payments for my vehicule were not done and the vehicule has "disappeared".

He has been lying repetitiously for 3 months regarding the payments coming to my bank account...

As the coward that he is, he has not answered the phone or responded to emails for quite some time now.

He is in possession of my vehicule without making the payments. Denny Hilliard is a thief.

Do not fall for his religious quotes, as he hides behind religion to make people believe he is a good man!

Denny Hilliard is a crook, a vilain, an impostor. Stay away.

Still Going

Well, we still have not recovered our vehicle. We hired a private investigator to find the truck, the owner of the company and Eddie Calles but no luck. We are out of money. Well we didnt have the money in the first place but...The Attorney General's office claims to have filed a lawsuit but we still have not received anything from them to confirm that. The only thing we were able to do was to cancel the license plate thru the MVD. This may help if the user gets stopped while driving it but not much else. Anyone else have any luck?

Thank you Rachel for the info. I live abroad (which is the reason why I left my car with AAA in the first place), and it makes it difficult to know what is going on with the PD, getting the car back, etc...

I am so glad I found this site...it's the only way for me to find out how the situation is evolving.

Please keep updating!

did you see? the last rebuttal

Michael, Did you see the last rebuttal on the 06/22/05 entry? I just saw it after I submitted the last rebuttal on your report. Armando says that the AG office is doing something about another company that did the same thing so maybe AAM will be next?! We can only hope. Maybe we should all continue to contact the AG's office to stay up to date and keep our issue in front of them as much as possible. You know what they say, it's always the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Nope we have not gotten our vehicle back

Michael,
No, we have not gotten our vehicle back nor have we heard anything from the AG's office. They said when my husband called that they were sending us a letter and we still have not gotten it. They won't discuss anything over the phone or provide any info as to what they are doing about this issue. Sorry, but it seems we are in the same boat. I wrote a letter to AAM asking for them to provide me the info on our truck's user but have not gotten a response from them either. We don't know what to do.

AG's response? no response

#13Consumer Comment

Thu, July 07, 2005

I have sent a formal complaint to the AG's office...but so far, no response.

Rachel, you mention that the PD will not do anything to find our cars...Did you get your car back?
Is the AG's office actually doing something?

I left my car with AA late November, agreed on making the December payment and received only 2 payments after that. I WANT MY CAR BACK...

Any update on the situation is appreciated.
Michael

It's a civil matter

#13Consumer Suggestion

Tue, June 28, 2005

Michael, Some of us have still not gotten our vehicles back. We have no way of knowing where or how to find them either. The police departments in the great state of Arizona will not take police reports on our "stolen" vehicles as they claim that ours is a "civil" matter to be handled by the Attorney General Terry Goddard. Our complaint to him has still gone unanswered. No help in sight. I have a picture of the person driving my truck around from a photo radar ticket but that's it.

Info on Denny

#13Consumer Suggestion

Wed, June 08, 2005

I was also a victim of Denny's fraud, but luckily was able to find and repo my car before they closed the business. I have two other ripoff reports on here about Denny and American Auto Management, if you haven't seen those.

If you want to get a hold of Denny, you can google his company "Hilliard Landscaping" in Lake Havasu City, AZ, and the phone number and address that show up will actually be his home address and number. Go after him!
