I moved into University Commons, a building from American Campus Comunities (ACA), in January, 2017. First impression of the place was fine, now worries until my roommate moved in a week or two later. The night he moved in was odd that's when I knew the walls are paper thin as I could hear him yell or grunt as he moved in his belongings. I wasn't sure what to make of this I honestly thought he was drunk or something until it continued night after night day after day. The yelling would be about nothing in particular sometimes it was just yelling with no words other times he'd say some dirogetory things about groups of people but most often it was nonsense (ex. I am a philosopher of science, 2+2=3 it has to it just has to (after a short pause as if responding to himself) no 2+2=4 and I can prove it.) Of course I contacted ACA and they refused to do anything, the emails got a bit heated as I became more upset and occasionally sleep deprived because of the loud disturbances at night. I still have video evidence and our emails. They talked with him once which did nothing at this time I was a bit afraid for my own safety and let them know and they responded by telling me it isn't their problem and that I signed a lease. I eventually had to pay $250 and let someone else take over the lease and get the hell out of there
