Complaint Review: American Careers

American Careers I received an email from "contact@getflightattendantjobs.com" regarding entry level positions with DFW and Love Field airports here in Texas. First I would like to note that the US Postal Service will NOT allow anyone to charge candidates for testing packages & warns that those who post those sorts of things in the newspaper will be prosecuted for such. My intention will be to get a hold of DFW & Love field airports and notify hiring managers there that this sort of $39.00 fee with "written refundable agreement" is against Airline practices. This IS a scam. Looking for employment should not cost someone money in fees from "head hunters" and the "scammers" out there! Anyone who says this is a legitimate business is a person with unethical business practices!!! I'm warning everyone regarding this supposed "job posting". If I receive any further emails regarding Airlines hiring etc I will be forced to call the law out & file charges for harassment via email! I'm done with this shady business practices. This company emailed me from "contact@flightattendantjobs.com" regarding entry level positions with DFW airport and Love Field airport.
They stated in the automated message that they charge $39.00 in fees for airline development program package?!

The US Postal Service won't allow scammers and head hunters to go around charging potential candidates for USPS test book!  They've threatened to prosecute for this unethical business practice.
Why would you want to charge a poor unemployed person a $39.00 fee when they evidently need a job!?!?  What is wrong with you people who attempt to turn a profit from someone who is obviously broke!
  This is beyond ridiculous!

I'll be contacting hiring managers at both airlines here in Texas and inform them about this email and forward it to them.

  Thank you and good day!

Hello, I wanted to respond to this report because it made me laugh.  I first read that this person was contacted by American Careers via "contact@flightattendantjobs.com" I would like to inform everyone out there that you first have to sign up to get an email from most companies that are job hiring sites.  I can say first hand that you have to sign up for more information from flight attendant jobs.  I signed up for their job searches as well.  I got an email from American Careers too.  They said that there were airline postions available in  my choosen state.  I called their number and then did my research on the company.  I talked to a lady named Melody.  She told me what the deal was with American Careers.  I knew that I couldn't purchase a job.

Also, I found that the information that they provided me with was not a USPS test book???  Where on Earth did anyone get that type of idea from.  Why would you want a USPS test book for a job in the airlines?  That is non logical.  #1.  Just to set the records straight.  Melody told me that I could apply with any airline on my own.  She said that I could go and do the research and take the time, but their services offered me a savings of time and help along the way.  I was also told that if I was unable to obtain employment with their help the fee was refundable.  I was looking for a job not a refund of $39.00.  I don't believe that American Careers is trying to scam or take anyones money.  They helped me tremendously with becoming a gate agent.  I go to school and work at the airport part time.  I love the opportunities that I have awaiting me when I finish up school.  I am going to travel and be a flight attendant for a while after I finish up school.  Bottom line, this isn't about me or my dreams.  It's about the fact that American Careers does what they say that they are going to do.  They helped me to obtain employment.  I didn't succeed on my first or second interview.  The truth is that American Careers (Mr. Joe) didn't give up on me.  They continued working with me.  Some say that the third time is the charm...I know that it is.  You don't have to contact any airlines, you just have to take yourself off of the emailing list if you wish not to be disturbed by emails from flight attendant jobs.  If you think that American Careers wouldn't work for you that is fine, I would suggest that you find out what a company is truly about before you post a half truth.  That is the problem with allot of the complaints on here.  People assume that they are writing the truth when they haven't done any research whatsoever!!

God Bless, and good luck and health.
