I was contacted in May by a sales rep offering me a discount deal on a sample order of toner for my printer and received a second one for free. In late June/early July, I was contacted again to have another order sent out. I agreed to accept this order of six more cartridges, figuring I could use them for one of the two printers I have in the office.

Just this week, I was contacted by their "director" to have the final shipment of six cartridges shipped out, and to close out or order. I informed him I did not want nor need the additional shipment. At that time, he told me that by keeping the original "sample order" past a 30 day trial period, I had agreed to a bulk order of 12 cartridges. I told him I had not been informed in either the original sales call or in writing that I would be obligated to the bulk order, which would total more than $6000.

After telling him that I would not accept the final shipment, I was informed that I would be charged a restocking surcharge of $2700. In order to compromise, he then offered to cut my final order in half, which would cost $1600.

Since I in no way agreed to a bulk order, we are refusing the final shipment and are going to refuse to pay the restocking fee. The director also refuses to take back any toner I have already received and refund me that money (I have only used one cartridge since this has all begun).

They continue to harass us, we are threatening to go to the Better Business Bureau and take legal steps.

Please be advised that any offer that seems to good to be true, probably is, and that these people are out to extort money from you in one way or another.
