My company has been a loyal displayer at every ACS Homeshow in Raleigh, NC since 2009.  We have displayed in the Raleigh Convention Center at nine consectutive shows.  We have spent over $25,000.00 with this company. We informed them that we could not afford to do the Spring Show this year, and instead of showing us any loyalty or having any concern about our company they sent us a letter saying that they would be seeking legal action against me.  The letter is very threatening.  They threaten to ruin my credit and cost me alot more money with litigation expenses and attorney fees.

I had planned on continuing to do business with them in the future, but after having endured the ugly phone calls and harsh treatment by the employees at ACS, I will never display at their shows again.

When we initially started doing the show with ACS, we recieved a lot of leads for work.  Over the years, the response has been less and less.  We tried to talk with them about changes that we felt would help the show.  They were not receptive, at all.  Instead, we were told if we didn't like the way they did things, we didn't have to be there.  In retrospect, we should have realized then what kind of people with whom we were dealing.

Beware when dealing with these people.

This client fails to state that they first emailed ACS on 1/27/14, approximately three weeks before the home show to tell us that they were not paying. Their contract clearly states that they can cancel at any time prior to 11/1/2013. Once the cancel date passes, we commit our clients money to advertising and producing the home show. If any client wants to cancel their participation in a show, we simply ask them to cancel prior to the contract cancel date. After that time, their money has been committed and will be spent. We cannot run a successful business and produce results for our clients if everyone could cancel their contract for any reason at any time.
