Complaint Review: AMERICAN CREDIT ADJUSTERS

AMERICAN CREDIT ADJUSTERS ACA SCAM, RIPOFF, ILLEGAL TACTICS, VIOLATE FDCPA

American Credit Adjusters or ACA is a scam and fraudulent collection agency. They make up fake balances, adding on up to $500 in "interest and penalty fees". They also collect on old debt way past the statute of limitations and threaten debtors who have filed bankruptcy or on fixed income (such as social security) with legal action. This company violates FDCPA guidelines and do not inform its new employees who are unfamiliar with debt collections that what they do is illegal. They once operated as Diverse Financial Enterprises but changed their name due to all of the complaints and lawsuit threats. The owner Jahaan McDuffie is a greedy con artist and needs to be permanently put out of business. He and his 2 partners also have a location in Stone Mtn, GA who operate the same way and use the same illegal collection tactics. If you have paid this company, have your money refunded and report them- what they do is unethical and gives legitimate collection agencies a bad reputation.

Disgruntle Employee

#2UPDATE Employee

Thu, October 22, 2015

I know this false report comes from a disgruntal employee by the name of Bernadette Henderson because she filed another one against us with CFPB word for word in an attempt to casue troulbe for our company to avail. Her allegations are completely false and we welcome any investigation into them as well as her character, which we believe she is under the influence of drugs and has a history of physical altercations at her previous placing of employment's along with numerous failed employment attempts at other agencies. American Credit Adjusters has a B+ rating with the Better Business Bureau ( please look this up) with a very minimal complaints log with the CFPB and we're currently in the process of reestablishing our relationship with the ACA International.

I had to fire and also called the police on her for an assault on a co-worker (July 30th 2015) as you will see in the attactment. After that incident I decided to give Ms. Henderson another chance at employment at which time she asked for a $350 advanced (copies of check attached) because she was behind in her rent, which I kindly obliged her a loan (for the second time). After one week Ms.Henderson got into another altercation verbally abusing her manager. Ironically, the dispute was over her questionable collection tactics, the very thing she is accusing us of. However, unfortunately this time Ms. Henderson crossed the line and I terminated her permanently. With only one week's worth of hours and after the ($350) loan deduction Ms. Henderson was left with a $36.30 check which she accepted and cashed. Right after she cashed it I begin to receive a barrage of threatening text messages of her telling me to write her another check for more money in an attempted to extort money from my company or she would get us shut down. I understand freedom of speech but this is rediculous that she is able to slander this company name, who did nothing but help her, just because she is upset....smh
