After a serious pay cut due to job change (instead of unemployment) I realized I couldn't keep up with bills. Decided I would continue making my mortgage payments, but could get debt settlement/service for my 2 credit card balances and make life affordable again.  Maintaining financial credit stability is critical to my job because I hold government clearances and is the basis of why I have a job.  I am subject to personal financial reviews every 5 years in oreder to maintain my clearance... My job...

In August of 2010, I reached out to American Credit Group (ACG.)  ACG indicated they could help me provided I paid $725/mo. for (36 months) into an independently owned escrow (Global Solutions, Inc.) which would accumulate to a figure that ACG could use to negotiate.  On OCT05, 2010 I made my first payment.

Chase Visa and Capital One (Visa) credit cards were my two debt settlement challenges.  ACG offered a phone number (to ACG) for Chase and Capital One to call for questions regarding my accounts as I stopped paying them in August 2010 as suggested and recommended by ACG.  The Capital One calls to my home stopped.  The calls from Chase Visa continued and harassed me for payment despite giving them the ACG phone number...  I asked ACG if they had received any calls from Chase and ACG said no and indicated ACG would send a letter indicating ownershiip of my representation for negotiations.

By JAN 2011, Chase's relentless pursuit and apparent ignorance of my request to call ACG finally got to me. Albeit an offer from Chase to "settle."  So I did.  I settled with Chase in FEB 2010 on my own with absolutely no help from ACG.  Now it's on to just Capital One.

I reported the settlement with Chase to ACG.  I then enquired about the monthly payment changing and ACG suggested keeping it the same and that my obligation would end sooner.  I concurred and accepted that my obligation would end sooner. (SEP2012)

ACG during the next 2 years kept me abreast of the negotiations with Capital One, but ACG extremely vague in its progress indicating that first, I didn't enough in escrow to negotiate, we have to wait 4-6 months, then I did have enough in escrow and the conversations changed to: "an offer was sent to Capital One and we haven't heard back." Or "Capital One is taking the offer to their management under consideration, waiting to hear back."

In March of 2012, I received a large sum of money from a tax return and offered to payoff my ACG obligation once and for all.  That amount came to $4350.00 of which I paid April of 2012 and ended my payments of $725.00/mo

Well that was the kiss of death... I didn't hear from ACG for 5 months... I contacted them and they decided to call me back, I was told the same 'ol line of "Waiting to hear back." And there was more... ACG said that they had to start paying Capital "something" to keep negotiations open...  This went on for another year...

Today: No settlement.  No communications with ACG until recently via email with patronizing messages. $16,675 invested/deposited and nothing to show for it.  Escrow (Global Solutions, Inc.) has been closed due to inactivity and is $0.00.  My debt with Capital One started at approximately $29,000 and is now greater than 35,000 as they are apparently still applying (late?) fees.

I have all the transactions from Global Solutions, Inc. that shows my deposits and ACG's withdrwals.

I used to have access to logged information about my account with ACG, but their website is down. Go figure.

Recent calls to their office (any department) go unanswered and no return calls as I have requested.

I am under a normal re-investigation for my clearance and I have to report my financial status as it appears in a creit report and will have explain this "scam" as my credit report will my account in default.

Please help if you can.
