Complaint Review: American Credit Solutions

I first received a card stating that I could receive a credit card. I can't remember the exact details of the card, so I called and spoke to a representative and was explained about the program.

I have to admit it sounded good, but I was hesitant so she convinced me to reserve my card for one month and they would automatically deduct the $199.95 from my account in 30 days. They deducted my account, which was my fault for not keeping better tabs of the days. I called a few days after they deducted my account and stated that I did not want to participate in the program but was told that they would only refund my money if I was "misinformed", which I was not.
I became furious and demanded to speak to the manager, which I did and she even sound as scripted as the representative. She stated that if I was "misinformed" only then would I get my money back. I stated that I had not even received my package and wanted my money back. I went as far to say that it is my money and I can demand my money back if I choose and also if I had not used the product.

It was just 20 minutes worth of arguing that was futile. It was Memorial Day weekend so I was told to call back then after my account debit had been cleared to determine what they could do. Still the same argument. I just became frustrated and decided that I was stuck with the product. When I received it, some of the information was informative but in order to get the card you have to buy from this catalog which has nothing but a bunch of junk in it.

My inital application was processed 5/16/02 and it is now 9/17/02 and I have still have the packet sitting on my table untouched. I have tried several times to call to still get a refund but for some reason it is always after hours. I am so upset...I want my $199.95 back!!!
