Slide was accidentally damaged by catching on parially open door then opening. My insurance paid for all the physical damage. They are now coming after me with a collection company wanting $700 to replace a previously scratched 27 inch TV that costs under $300 new. Also coming after me for days of lost rental at $140 per day....total bogus charges of $1,930 when insurance already paid $2,300 for actual damages. Claimed to be fair and honest....not when you turn fake debt over to a collection agency....see you in court Trenton Franklin.

Often times, renters are unhappy when made responsible for found damages. Although, you accepted that the damages occurred while the trailer was in your possession, you denied responsibility for the damages. All of the vehicles that we rent out are individually owned. While charging for damage is not one of the best parts of our job, we are obligated to the owners of the vehicle to make sure their units are made whole again. Like many commercial rental companies, we use a subrogation company to collect from the insurance company. Any and all of the damages/fees they charge are pertinent to the insurance industry. Accurate part numbers are provided and costs of repairs are scrutinized by the insurance adjusters as part of the checks and balance to protect the insured thereby keeping the claimant fair and honest. I feel we were more than fair and honest when we only billed 16 hours even though we had 40+ actual hours invested in the repair.
