Complaint Review: American Eagle Acceptance Corp.

American Eagle swooped into my driveway last night to repossess my car which had a balance due for 20 days. With no warning, no notice or anyway to get to work and support my family they hooked the car up and drove away. After contacting them this morning I was told I would have to pay the note off completely to get my car back. The total amount owed was $11,000 on a 2000 Ford that was worth $2,000.

I had just put brand new tires on the car and paid my insurance that day. I have always been on time with my payments and was only late this one time.

My car note originated at Clay Cooley in Dallas TX. Two months later they sold the note to American Eagle without any notification to me. American Eagle then stopped reporting to the credit agencies my on time payments. I have been struggling with this company from day one and would like them to be exposed as the inconsiderate, uncooperative, scheming thieves I know them to be.
