Almost a year ago, I sold to American Electrical Services and Justin McDonald $3,000.00 worth of electrical tools for his new business. At the time of the sale, Justin said that within 3 months for the date of purchase he would pay off the tools. I have asked Justin to pay me in payments if he could not afford to pay me in full. Justin's excuse is always, he is waiting to get paid for a job he just completed, and as soon as he gets paid he will pay me. This has been going on for almost a year. I have also asked him to return these tools if can't afford them.
I have contacted the Contractors State License Board to report him, I will take him to Small Claims Court.
I heard from a former employee, that he quit working for Justin because Justin had not paid him and others their salary.

I too am owed a substantial amount of money from Justin. And his biggest excuse is that he is waiting for a check and that he's working on it. I gave him almost two years worth of service and alot of time not spent with my family for him in return to not pay me my full wages and overtime that he promised to pay me. I also put alot of my personal money into the company (to buy material, rent equiptment, gas in company vehicles and lodging for out of town work) that he has not finished paying me either. He also left my family and I hanging when it came to medical insurance,i.e. We signed up for insurance in late '09 for Kaiser in which i was paying $100.00 a week for and he started taking it out of my check as of Jan. 01, 2010 and coverage didnt begin until Mar. 15. So for two and a half months, i was deducted money for insurance that did not exist yet. Three weeks before my wife was to give birth, we got a phone call notifying us that our insurance had been cancelled. Reason being, that the employer premium had not been paid since early March. I have incurred almost $1800.00 in medical expenses because of his lack of responsibilities for the birth of my daughter. He had been deducting for the medical yet he was not paying it. So as far as i see it, he was stealing from me and pocketing that money. When i called him asking him what was going on with the insurance, his response was that he had absolutely no idea. How can you not know??? You know if you haven't paid the bill....specially for almost 5 months worth. He has shorted me hours on my checks and did not pay me overtime on quite a few checks. Not to mention that alot of these checks were late, and when i say late, i mean over a month late. As a result of the majority of my checks being late, a vast majority of my bills were not paid on time ultimately causing my credit to go into ruins. He also owes me for a retirement fund on a prevailing wage project that he never paid into. He has a gambling problem in which he swears that he doesn't. He has been known to spend up to $5,000 in one night at the casino's......he has even gone so far to accuse me of breaking into his shop and stealing his tools and what not. He denies owing me any money what so ever. He has also wrote me bad checks. The last three checks that he wrote me bounced, and the check cashing establishment in which i went to is coming after me and filed a civil suit against me. He has flat out refused to pay it claiming that i stole company checks. That has got to be the most absurd thing that i have ever heard! He is something else i say.....
