I guess I should consider myself lucky beacause I actually have a machine that was working, albeit not as advertised. My deepest regards for people who are in a state of "limbo".

While I knew from day one that there was an unsavory element to this outfit, many of the people I was in contact with at AED and UTECH seemed to be genuinely helpful and concientious. I found the concept of this machine to be sound and the quality of the Riello machine to be high. I find it hard to believe that everyone involved was in on this latest development. That said, there must have been something seriously wrong going on there and I think we deserve at the very least some "truth" about where things stand.

My machine was actually working up until 10/4 when it stopped being able to process credit cards. I was told by ICVerify that there was an intermediary between their software and Bankcard which might be causing this problem. I have been able to squeeze some information out of Bankcard's support staff, who told me that AED had gone "out of business", but none of the managers are returning my multiple messages left starting Thursday 10/7.

I am not implying that BankcardUSA had any role in this mess, I am just worried as to why no one there will tell me how to get my machine back on line.

Why should AED going out of business stop my machine from processing credit cards?

Is anyone out there experiencing similar problems?
