When I received my AT&T bill, I noticed the amount was higher than previous months. When I checked into it, I found that I was being billed for voice mail. I know that AT&T offered that when I signed up two months ago, but it was not something I elected. I called up AT&T to find out about it. They told me another company was billing me for this service. I called the number on my bill. It turns out they were the billing company for American eVoice, Ltd. They gave me American eVoice's telephone number.

When I asked who authorized this charge, they said Donald Beattie, who is my husband. They had his e-mail address and our street address. I said that this is not something he would have done. She said he authorized it through a site called Media Shapers. When I went on the Media Shapers site, it was a company in Canada that makes custom discs. There was no option to sign up for American eVoice.

When I started saying this authorization was fraudulent, the customer service representative at American eVoice said she would reverse the charges. I am so busy that I don't usually even look at my bills. That is what they count on. Even though the charges will be reversed, I was very inconvenienced by having to call AT&T, American eVoice' s billing service, American eVoice and then writing this report. I just don't have this kind of time.
