I was in an auto accident which was not my fault. My insurance company told me to get my truck fixed and that they would pay the costs, since they would be get their money from the insurance company representing the party at fault. I received an initial payment not the entire cost to start the repair. When more body damage was discovered, approximately $1000.00, they told the body shop they were sending a check.

They still have not paid all that money and I cannot get the truck until the entire balance is paid. Which amounts to about $2000.00. This was not a serious accident and my truck was one year old. total costs are approximately $3700.00. I was assured by the claims adjuster that the money would be paid.

Calls to confirm payment have not been answered. The body shop was told that the check was being sent. Still no truck.

The california state insurance bureau is very cumbersome to deal with. Its obvious that they are very understaffed. This has been a very sad experience for me.

I bought this insurance policy through my membership at COSTCO. I have been unable to find a number or e mail address that would allow me to voice my concerns and warn the company about this nightmare.

My truck was damaged 45 days ago it has been in the body shop for three weeks. The insurance company told the body shop that a check was sent 10 days ago. When the body shop call again they were told that it would be sent now. Its hard to believe what has happened. I also found out that my insurance company only pays a maximum of $20.00 dollars per day for 30 days toward car rental.

I would NEVER,NEVER recommend AMEX Insurance to anyone. If you are hit by anyone carrying Farmers Insurance good luck they are unresponsive and deceptive.
