In trying to sign up for Bluebird online (without Walmart's card), the system rejected the application, and stated that they were unable to verify information.  During a call to the 800#, the representative just recommended to repeat the sign up process.  At that point, the username was blocked out (couldn't try it again with the same username).  The rep advised the picking of a different username (NO THANK YOU).  The rep had no way to pull up the initial application and help verify / validate / correct it.  The call was then escalated by request to a supervisor.  Same exact story.  The call was then escalated again by request to their supervisor.  Same exact story.  Bluebird is a bad product.  The reps are clueless, and their systems are poor.  AVOID this product at all cost.  No Skunks has since studied others' stories, and apparently their customer service is out of the Phillipines or some other foreign country - they are clueless, and their product has NO FDIC backing (so your money is at risk at all times).  You are also bound to the American Express curse of many places not taking American Express for payment, leaving you stuck with choosing another form of payment (or the embarassment or inconvenience of being without any funds at all).

NO SKUNKS ADVISES YOU AVOID BLUEBIRD AT ALL COST.

I do not work for AmEx. Wish I did. Wish I worked somewhere... anywhere. I don't have a job nor a checking account. That's why I looked at this card and got it. Thank you.

I signed up online including 2 sub account cards for each of my kids at the same time. The process went smoothly and all 3 cards arrived as promised. I am excited and comforted in knowing I can manage the accounts no matter where my kids are. ATM withdrawal, daily spending limits and immediate availability of funds deposited at Walmart are priceless tools and peace of mind.

I agree with the limited use of the card but the inconvenience is negligible. Thank you.
