Use caution if you have an American Express Delta Skymiles Business Platinum card.  The American Express website boasts No Black Out Dates and no minimum fare restrictions.  Delta says the opposite.

When you try to use the certificate which can only be redeemed on Delta's website only L, U, or T fares are offered.  Clearly there are many fare restrictions.  The Delta website also says there are black out dates.  It sounds like a good deal to pay $150.00 in an annual fee because of this benefit alone, but this year I tried four different trips and I feel American Express misled cardholders with the "no minimum fare restrictions".  I'm sure the legal community would say this is a maximum fare restriction, but simple trips between Wisconsin and the west cost could not be booked without unreasonable accomodations on my part. As with any program restrictions apply, but it is rude to bait and switch.  Shame on American Express.  I've called, emailed, spoken with two superviors, and written the president of American Express and Delta.  At this time no serious action has been taken.

In other years I had no problem, but American Express Delta has made this nearly worthless.
