Complaint Review: American Express

I believe that the American Express "sign and travel" program was created to ripoff loyal AMEX consumers. The monthly statements are confusing, misleading and lead you to believe you are paying your bill in full but in actuality, you are only paying a portion of your bill and collecting debt at 19%. Additionally, if you try to receive verification of signing up for this program, you must request via a writtem letter. I was also informed that you can be signed up via the phone or a telemarketer. I used AMEX specifically for a record of my monthly expenses and paid each bill in full every month in order to avoid expensive late charges. Somehow, I was signed up for this "sign and travel" program and the hiiden charges have put me under a mountian of debt that I was unaware of.
