I purchased an American Express Serve card on jan 3, at a local warmart and loaded $100 on it, it looked good cause of the low fees. I went to register it and uploaded the info they requested to open the serve account and to be able to use my card. I receive an email that says " thank you for your recent registration for a serve card, it will take a few days to process" . I get another email stating "my account has been closed due to a violation of section 5E of the terms of service. " I uploaded the info, what could have gone wrong? Baffled, I call customer service, and they claim the information was improperly sent. since my account is closed, I must fax my info to reopen it!

I sent it on their site, just as they originally asked, now I have to fax it to them? I faxed the info as they requested, and waited. I called them back, on January 19, and they informed me they received my fax, but since it was received after the account was closed, they could not reopen the account, but they can refund me the balance of $100 that is in the account, i should receive it by check in ten days. It is now February 9, 21 days since they said they would refund me, and still nothing! I lost $100 thanks to them and they have my info! Dont go with American Express Serve, you will end up with a useless chunk of plastic and whatever you loaded on the card you wont be able to use! This card is a scam!
