I have been overdrafting check left and right for the last two months. I knew that it wasn't my fault but did not know where the problem was. I then proceeded to go to the bank to recieve a printout of all of my transactions over the last two months. To my surprise there were two companies listed on the printout that i had never heard of. One was American family health and the other was Direct Discount Club.

I took it upon myself to give each of them a call. They both gave me the sam excuse that I had replied to a pop-up on the internet for a free gass card or that I had responded to a telemarketing call. Neither of which is true since all I do is delete pop-ups and habg up on telemarketers. I then told them I wanted the accounts cancelled and my money reimbersed. The strange thing is is that they had my mothers name on the account, but were using my debit card number for the payments.

that night my girlfriend, who works for Excel energy in the billing department, informed me that those companies are responsible for any and all of the overdraft fees and money lost because of their mistakes. So, once again I call both companies and explain to them that they need to refund a lot more than the money they had taken from me without my permission. They both replied with the same "We dont refund overdraft fees. Its against our policy". One operator even explained to me that most banks will reimburse the lost money and take care of the overdrafts in the instance of mistakes like this.

So, I called my bank and they said that it is the companies problem. Needless to say I was not in a very good mood after the runaround I had recieved. So here I sit trying to think of my next step and hoping this website might be able to help me out and get back the money me and my family have lost and take these dinks down. Tehy shouldn't do things like this to anyone, EVER!
