They have well earned their nickname"AMSCAM". They are trained at their claim training centers by inept and corrupt claim trainers and managers with emphasis on "how not to pay claims. They practice the well known ans controversial practice introduced by ALLSTATE a decade ago called Delay, Deny and Defend their actions to slow claim payments and reduce payments to no more than 60% of the true values. Its a common practice today called "leakage". All carriers use the training word to stop leakage.
The only way to stop leakage is to pay something less than what is owed. I have never seen an adjuster promoted or given a merit raise for paying what they owe. They are rewarded for paying claims under the true values, its common sense by its very nature. Yes screwing the insured is rewarded. Their claim staff of adjusters and supervisors are not true adjusters, they have been brain washed and will never be any good to future carriers, as they will always revert back to their old fraudulent tricks. They have no integrity in the claim industry and are held at a low class renegades by the claims world.
Your lucky to get the roof paid for. I bet it was not at full retail. If they can show they reduced the claim payment by 40% they may just pay it. If you try for retail costs they will punish you for making a large claim by beating you up with the "boxing glove" style claim handling. Their agents are MIA when a claim occurs. Agents do not know the in and out of claims, they are salesman and only know the basics and are told to stay out of the claim process......they run and hide in every instance I have seen or heard about.
Check your policy under the conditions section (right below the Appraisal Clause), they have hidden a mis-match exclusion which allows them to pay for one tile in the floor if its damaged and not pay to "make you whole" as per their promise. This will allow them to mis match siding, roofing and about everything devaluing your home after a loss.
This is a rogue insurer and should not be allowed to practice anti consumerism. They over charge for what you are going to receive. DONT BUY THIS INSURANCE, ITS LIKE HAVING NO INSURANCE AT ALL!!!
