my daughters car insurance was due april 9 2007, her mother in law hand delivered the payment directly to the office on the 9th.

the car was totaled april 10 early in the am. daughter called co they said she had insurance then after putting her on hold they said she wasn't insured.

daughter called secretary staes she remembers the mother in law dropping the envelope off daughter asked if it was mailed secretary replied they never mailed from their office unless the bpayment was dropped of stamped in return envelope from co. Thc check was in plan white envelope no stamp.

she then spoke with Larry Gibbs the agent who said they did mail payments sometimes. Since hers was mailed the coverage was not in effect on the day of the wreck.

the check was there at 9:15am the day it was due, taken to the office to get it there on time. the post office is across the street why would anyone take it to the main office if they intended to mail it. sounds like they don't want to pay the claim.

Let me understand this. You paid the bill on the 9th and the car was wrecked on the 10th? When you dropped off the payment did you get a receipt? If not you should have because it would have been covered. As an agent with another company I alway give a receipt and mark the day and time it was paid just incase something like this happens. You could have also paid a few days earlier, online or by phone. Always blame the agent but never take any responsibilty yourself. I think the agents is not the only one who errored here.
